Biography
Amanda Bienz is an assistant professor in the Department of Computer Science at The University of New Mexico. Her research interests include creating scalable parallel algorithms, analyzing and improving parallel performance bottlenecks, and optimizing data movement, particularly for emerging supercomputers and heterogeneous systems. Her goal is to improve the scalability of parallel applications such as numerical simulations and neural networks, allowing for applications to take full advantage of future exascale architectures. Amanda received a PhD in computer science from University of Illinois in 2018 and a BS in computer science and mathematics from Elon University in 2012.
