Biography

A lecturer at UNM since the fall of 2020, Joseph Haugh is inspired by functional programming and type theory. He was a late bloomer when it comes to programming and only wrote his first program as a freshmen in college. Initially he did not enjoy it and instead decided to pursue a business degree. However during this time he still worked as a programmer and eventually decided to give Computer Science another shot. This time he was introduced to functional programming which sparked his passion for Computer Science. Now he focuses on researching new ways to teach programming and how to effectively teach remotely.
