Ken Perlin: How will Hamlet find the Holodeck?

Ken Perlin will discuss contingent narratives and effective virtual actors as they relate to computer-mediated interactive media. Prof. Perlin won an Academy Award in 1997 for his work with noise and turbulence procedural texturing techniques, which are now widely used in films and television. The colloquium happens Tuesday, October 26th, 2004, from 11am to 12:15pm in Woodward 149.
